Petra worked as a medical doctor for over 10 years in various fields such as women’s health, emergency medicine and general practice before training as a pilates instructor.

She is also a certified Schroth Therapist teaching the Schroth Method -physiotherapy scoliosis specific exercise- to clients with scoliosis.

She has been teaching pilates for over 7 years. She holds the Diploma in Professional Pilates instruction and is a level 2 member with the PAA (Pilates Alliance Australasia). This allows her clients to claim a rebate with their private health fund. We advise that you check how much you can claim with your private health provider.

Petra loves the challenge the Authentic Pilates Method (the way Joseph Pilates used to teach it) offers and is currently training to become also certified with Authentic Pilates Education Australia in Sydney.

Prior to moving to Torquay in 2016 with her family, including two surf-mad teenage boys, Petra owned a Pilates studio in South Gippsland. There she worked closely with the local Physiotherapist, GPs and other allied health practitioners, sharing and optimising the care of her clients.

“I am looking forward to spreading the amazing benefits that anyone can achieve through Pilates and especially the dynamic flow of the Authentic Pilates Method along the beautiful surfcoast.”
